Hey guys

I have been working as a car waxer for a while now and its always a shame to see a car that relise allot on plastic outterrior for its looks that have waren out, that were onece black but have turned gray over time.

Allot of us know this problem wit oure 205 Gtis right?

There are loads of plastic restoration produckts out there from the biggest car cear producers out there.

But the problem is, thay dont last really well.

Up untill now i havent found the right plastic refreshner product that dose the job untill last week.

The product im talking about?

This

Yep, baby lotion...... xD

The process?

Simply use a fiber cloth and the baby lotion. Thats all you need.

Put some baby lotion into the cloth, apply it to the sidepanels all around the cars plastics, ones youv applied it to all the side panels go over it again using the same cloth to even the oil. note: you dont have to drench the side panels in oil.

It takes about 2 days to see the final resault, and after doing this the sidepanels will collect allot of dust, wash them onese thay do then thy should look like new! If you notice you missed a spot, repeat the process all over and thay should look like new!

Enjoy and let me know what you think ;)

well i dont think plasticare works at all. i have a bottle here but i still use autoglym bumper snot. plasticare just doesn't seem to take to my plastics and after the 4th application i gave up. it might be better on plastics that are very faded and haven't been treated for years.

heat gun and bumper snot FTW.

Plasticare didn't make a jot of odds on the 205, but looked great on the Saxo.

Are you referring to the OP? I suspect their English is better than your Icelandic which would be a better comparison...

I personally use Peanut butter (not the one with bits of nuts in mind!) - the oils contained in Peanuts make the trim look really dark and its lasts ages too!

Other than that, Meguiars tyre Endurance Gel works well too - along with Carplan trim & bumber shine.

How long do the various products work? That's a better comparison I think. I use Autoglym bumper polish and once you've built it up a bit it lasts a good few weeks.

Only problem is I then ruined my cleaning gear with the oil from it :o

I used to use Autoglym bumper polish but always found it not work so well, it was hard to make the bumpers evenly aplyed to and once it would start to dry the bumpers instantly started to show.

The oil will look good all around, easy to use and it will last you a long time and it kind of brings a new look.
