My New Job

Recommended Posts

swordfish210

Hey all, I started a new job this week after suffering two months of joblessness after graduating Uni and I thought some of you would be interested to see some of the cars that I get to work on in my new day to day life.

Heres the works race car, prepped in Historic 1600cc spec and weiging in at about 10kg less than homologation spec :P :

A customers trackday car, 2000cc spec:

A Montreal that has come in for some substantial modernisation work:

A Guillia Sprint that is in need of restoration:

A GTA in need of restoration:

This GTA was rolled at Monza quite badly and has just finished having the shell straightened and now needs rebuilding with all new panels:

And this SZ has bags of rally history to go with it and is in the middle of a restoration after being dig out of a shed in Paris with some bad accident damage. Hopefully it will be racing at Goodwood next year:

Theres also a California, a Stratos and THE Autodelta GTA in the workshop too. I think i'm in love ;)

Are you at Alfaholics then?

The GTA (is that a real one) is beautiful. Actually any 105 series Alfa is.

Every man has to have an Alfa at some part in their lives. I was in the AROC for 7 years and had a 155, but my colleague at work has a "Bertie" with a GTV engine in it so it goes pretty well and looks well pretty!

not.jealous.at.all... Jammy sod! I';ve a real soft spot for alfas, my uncle used to race in the Trofeo Alfa Romeo and took me to belgium with a pair of Alfasuds he had when I was 9. That's what really got me interested in motorsport.

Bastard! I'm still woefully plugging through the application "process" (apply, denied, repeat) and getting nowhere. :P

But in all seriousness, looks bloody awesome! That's the kind of place I'd get no work done 'cos I'd be dribbling over the cars all day! :D

I remember that, i think when i left Uni i applied for aver 20 jobs and i heard back from about 5 of them and i only got 2 interviews out of them :( It's bloody depressing when you dont hear back.

It's very hard to do no work there because we have so many cars that need work doing. I started working on the SZ today and it looks like it will need some major suspension work so i'll be pretty busy with that if it is going out at Goodwood

All I can say is it was worth all the hard work you put in at college,

looks like a great place to work, the only downside is its not a peugeot garage - but those alfas are the proper ones and the level of work on some of the pictures are awesome, at least the 205 might turn out like one of those historic alfas you will have a very mint and tidy 205.

Well Done Mark.
