The Final Push: Help With Random Bits

Right

after much head scratching, searching and swearing im 95% of the way home with the headgasket job

just left with bits ive forgotten and parts that im not sure on.

any help is muchly appreciated

 

1) dipstick: where does it screw in to attach it to the block?

ive looked for about 10 mins and cant see anything at all! :/

 

2) the coiled spring on the throttle housing:

how do i assemble it onto the housing itself, then coil it correctly to give resistance the correct way, and finally where to i attach the long wire coming off it in order to give the tension?

Dipstick tube pushes into the hole in the block, then bolts to the rear of the thermostat housing near the distributor with an M8 bolt.

as Tom said re the dip stick tube, hope you dont have a Magnex manifold fitted though and do what i Did ONCE!, and forget to fit the tube, there is no way you will get it to fit with the manifold already fitted

you wont with a standard manifold either.
