Securing Fuel And Brake Lines

Recommended Posts

Daviewonder

Hi All

I'm just in the middle of renewing my fuel lines and brake lines but unfortunately the plasitc clips that secure them have all become brittle and broken up. I've been looking at rubber lined P clips and these seem like a good idea. For the P clips I'm looking at around £6 for twenty 4mm ones for the brake pipes and £5 for ten 8mm ones for the fuel pipes.

I'm also wondering if anyone can tell me if the Peugeot clips are still available and how much they are as this may be a cheaper option? (doubt it though)

Any views? What have you guys used to secure yours?

cheers

yes peugeot still sell most if not all the clips, some may not be available but you can use ones from later cars.

The brake line clips are certainly still available, and they were surprisingly cheap - can't remember exactly how much now (Servicebox will tell you) but it was certainly pennies rather than pounds

Wayhey I've finally managed to get signed up to service box after many failed attempts!

Thanks for the replys guys, I've decided I'm most likely going to stick to the genuine clips now I have seen how much they cost

I guess the ones circled in red are the ones that secure the pipes to the floor, does anyone know where the one circled in blue goes?
