Repairing Torn Cloth Seat

Can anyone recommend a tape or any other method to repair a tear in a cloth covered seat. I don't want to spend loads as its in my works van but i would like to fix it befor it gets too bad. Thanks in advance.

I know this sounds like a load of s**TE but i was just after a bit of help from the experts that do these sort of repairs as a matter of course!

i got the missus to do a bit of sewing when i had similar problem.
