Be1 Clutch Cable

Recommended Posts

rnotman67

Hi guys, Hoping some one can help.

I got a clutch cable for my 205 Mi16 with the BE1 box on it. when I freed the pedal end I noticed it was different from the new one.

What is it I need or what have I got?

Old one - Plastic rectangle hook type end

New one - Xmas tree shaped end crimped onto cable.

Cheers

If it is an Mi16 BE1 gearbox they use a 205 BE3 style cable. The BE3 cables have the plastic rectangle.

Cheers for the reply

How would I know for sure if it is the mi box or not, and what should I ask for from the local parts place if it is?

look at what clutch arm it has, long one at the top of the box is a be3/mi16 be1 type

short triangle quadrant pushing a short pin against an arm poking out of the front of the box is a 205/309 (and non mi16 405) be1

sounds like your pedal is the later type used with a BE3 mechanism.
