How to spot a difference between 1.6 and 1.9 GTI driveshafts ?

Hub end, 1.9 shafts are a lot larger take a 35-36mm nut and have a hole through for the retaining pin, 1.6 are 30-32mm, much smaller, and use stake nuts.

20mm threaded shank on 1.6, 24mm on 1.9.
