Hi All. I.m looking for some one who is running 45 webers on a 205 gti. I.m currently running in a fresh engine and at the point where i need to progress up the rev range. My set up currently splutters at 3000rpm

If anyone has a set on there gti could you pop out the jets and let me know what sizes you have. Its so i can get the engine bedded in properly befor the garage take her to finish it off. I'm looking for main fuel and air jets. Pump jets too.

Cheers

yeah its a 1,9, what would be ideal for the main fuel and air corrector jets. I have 130 fuel and 180 air at the moment. Its just so its running better prior to full tune.

Is that when you snap the throttle open or all the time?

I wouldnt have thought those mains and airs are too far off if its just for running prior to a full tune.

The "main jet" depends mainly from the size of the main venturi. Example 36 main vents x 4 =144 main jets + 50 for the air corr. and 55 idle jet, i suppose that this will be enough for your engine but it depends of is it stock engine or tuned up....

P.S. I'm running Mi16 stock engine with Dellorto's DHLA40 on 32 main vents and a 8V ignition with a dizzy, i like how the car is running and the response of the throttle.

Thanks for the replys. I have 36mm chokes and 45 auxiliary venturis. I started with 145 mains which was to much. Now running with what i stated in last post! The power at 3 grand and up is poor. Looks like this will have to do untill the tune. Cheers guys

Might be of interest to you. Recently set up on RR. Made good power, behaved well on the road with no flat spot, hunting or surging. 3.2% CO and 1200 HC.

Chokes : 36mm

Mains : 135

Airs : 185

Tubes : F16

I cant remember my idle and pump jets off the top of my head.
