309 Shock Leaking - Modern Options?

Recommended Posts

Loose Hand Luke

The passenger side shock on the 309 has developed a leak so its going to need changing for the mot.

Does anyone know a good site to buy cheap OEM style replacement items or is there another option like 306 struts or similar?

There aren't many 309's on the island anymore, let alone in the scrapyard to pinch bits from B)

The car's a J-reg 309 1.9D.

Thanks for any help guys

GTI6 rear shocks would be a bit of an upgrade.

I used 306 front and rear as hardly anyone caters for the 309 anymore

Ah ok thanks mate, do the 306 struts just bolt straight in or do I fit the 309 top mounts etc?

Its only the 1.9D so its got the base spec arms and anti-roll bar/tie bar etc.

Should of mentioned its the Passenger side Front that's leaking.

Its a work horse so doesn't need performance bits.
