jonathan205 0 Posted August 24, 2010 Hey guys, I bought a 205 a few months ago..it was originally a gentry auto, thats now been converted to an Mi16 manual with 1.6 box..i dont have a clue which hubs and brakes they have used or if they are still standard gentry ones, but they are pretty naf whatever they are! Any suggestions on what brakes I could put on there that should fit without too much hassle?
jonathan205 0 Posted August 25, 2010 for example, do GTI 6 brakes fit on all both 205 and 405 hubs? Or is it just as effective to just get a good set of discs and pads on the standard 205 brakes? Are the 205 GTI and the 205 Gentry Brakes even different?
shalmaneser 26 Posted August 29, 2010 Gentry hubs and brakes are the same as the 1.6, plenty of options but you need to swap to a base model 205 hub. Then you can run any of the 306 brakes - XSi, GTi6 or you can pop on some reconned 1.9 calis and continue using your existing discs and hubs, I recon they're a bit underpowered for a decent MI though really. Do a search, shedloads of info on this.
