Unsure Throttle Response.

ive completed the 6 conversion, i dont yet have an air filter on and also there is still a elbow pipe which is positioned infront of the throttle boby and goes underneath the inlet manifold. when i rev the car it takes ages for the revs to drop.and when i put my finger over that elbow pipe the engine wants to stall. im ready to take the car for MOT but this is causin me concern, becos there just dont seem tobe any throttle response. Do i remove and unplug this elbow pipe which seems to run off vacuum? am in urgent need, cos im desperatly wanting to drive my 309 gti6.thanks anyone

sounds like you may have a few lazy or faulty sensors/actuators, the pipe is for the Idle control valve, so you definitely dont want to block that off.

where are these sensors located mate?
