Who Has A Hot Cockpit?

Recommended Posts

boldy205

Hi i have a 205 with a Gti6 using the manifold angle plate to mount a standard 6 manifold and i find it to be very warm in the car, i guess its because the manifold is close to the bulkhead, but its rather warm! Its not anything warm coming through the vents either. Anyone else find this?

Oh, while im here, my fan blower is a bit dodgy, it only has a very soft blow B) but if you force the speed control around as far as it will go i can get full blower power. I guess its the actual speed controller? Is it a common problem, and is it the printed curcuit behind the knobs? If so whats the best way to fix it please?

Many thanks

Matt

Mine gets hot as the exhaust heats up the tunnel and heats the car, I guess its due to not having the carpt in to soak up the heat.

I had problems with my heater and it was the circuit board in the blower box next to the blower, I can't remember what its called now,I think its 2 screws to drop it out.

I have wrapped the manifold/downpipe to help, i guess it helps in the winter!

Matt Holley: I think its more the swich side if things as if i hold the fan control forced round to fast it works fast, but any other setting is just a slight breeze! Anybody think its the PCB behind the knobs? Common problem maybe?

Many thanks

Matt

I did have my manifold wrapped, but I'm never going to do it again! It's bloody horrible stuff!
