43mm Big Valve Head

Hi

Does anyone know what valves these are that they put in the 1.9 cylinder head. Ive bought a spare head and im going to play with it abit but dont fancy paying the £12per valve that i see on the internet.

or to make the long story short:

 

43mm are from the 2.0 8v iron block found in other peugeot or citroen models.

43.5mm I use Datsun/Nissan 2.7 TD, but there's an additional cost of shortening and regroving these.

Thanks For the info , I work at a engine reconditioners and we have all the tack there to do anything so you have rely helped as ill be able to get valves realy cheap but needet to know what would fit ;)

No problem, good luck with it.

There are really good results to be gained with big valves on the 8v engine, really more power and torque throught the rev range, and specialy more in the upper range, 6500-7500 rpm is a whole new play ground...

Thou I would stress the importance of correct valve seat geometry and port shape to get positive results with the bigger valves.

Well i dunno .

Had a 205 gti 1.9 years ago when i didnt know alot about cars , had ported and polished head, piper cam , fse fuel reg , full magnex exhaust system , went realy well to be onist, I did sell every thing i had on that car years ago because i crashed it , so now im going to do what i had years ago , i dout it did have the big valves buit working where i work i can do it at cost of the valves so why not ;)

Will only be slightly ported by 2mm if that , ill see how it goes and keep an update as im going to go get it rolling roaded soon then have it done after the head work , will be fitting a magnex 4 branch manifold and system but need to find a system first , i do have the manifold but its not fitted
