The lion is the badge and the front has a big grill/mouth type of look, cars have to be pedestrian friendly maybe that is why most new cars have this big front look, if no one likes them then keep your 205 because they will never be able to make a car any where near what the 205 is.

I like it and im not the only one.

Think the Clio 182 was the last car I had that was the closest to the 205Gti, In fact it was fair to say it was idiot proof with the stability program and traction control, too hard for every day use though so had to go !

And another thing, the blody f....ing THP! I f...ing hate it, why don't they develop a proper 2 litre turbo engine like everyone else (WV, Ford, Renault, Mazda...) ?!

At least with 250+hp and an LSD it just could be called a GTI, despite the hidious wierd design and the 500 kg overweight issue.

Ha, 208 (205) gti, wright!

I reserve judgement on the looks as this is not a photo is it? Or a heavily retouched one and the final thing rarely looks as good. Having said that I thinks it's got more potential than many modern pugs. They lost my interest after the 106/306 styling wise.

What is surely a good thing is that it looks like Peugeot are once again apparently trying to push the boundaries and create class leading cars instead of sitting back and creating lame car after lame car. Hopefully we'll see the old spirit that brought us the legendary 205

It will not in a million years be 4wd, when the Focus RS doesn't need 4wd this thing won't! The only manufacturers who are really pushing 4wd are the ones with a reputation for it i.e. Audi, Suburu.

Is anyone else getting a little fed up of the cyclical, Peugeot drop the GTI brand and leave the hot hatch segment, Peugeot make another crappy car and throw a GTI badge at it, people get excited and call it the new 205 GTI, car is rubbish, Peugeot drop the GTI brand.

In fact I do seem to remember a recent Peugeot press statement to the effect that people in the UK need to get over their hot hatch obsession and that Peugeot were going to compete with Audi by making luxury coupes/cabriolets.
