Mi16 Engine Rebuild Parts

Recommended Posts

Hiya Guys

Hope everyone is doing well.

My Mi16 engine is nearly finished and is currently with an engine builders in Bristol. Just had a call thought and a few things were missing from my box of parts.

The Cam Pulley Bolts

Clutch Bolts

The Rocker Cover seals for where the Spark pugs go. (I remember something about these not being included in the gasket rebuild kit.)

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the best place is to get these?

Thanks Guys

Well, since i just changed my rocker cover, i am aware that the spark plug seals are no longer available; the three that seal the middle rocker cover bolts are available though. I can't help much on the rest though im afraid; i know the clutch cover bolts are available from the dealers at the ridiculous price of about a fiver each. They are basically just 22mm long M7 capheads though i think. Thats all the (little) help i can be though.

In order to get the rocker seals I asked my main dealer to search for stock of them in other dealers, they gave me a print out of 3 main dealers who had them stocked as of the last update, luckily the first one I tried had them and kindly posted them to me.

Clutch cover bolts were cheap enough when I checked with dealer (50p?), but only come in a set of 10 - not so bad if you need a full set but if you were after just one or two then as Sam306 said cut an M7 from a fastners place down to 22mm.

Just make sure any M7 you buy are decent grade. I think the Pug ones are 10.9 at least, if not 12.9.

Thanks for the replies guys.

So far the stealers have managed to sort me out with the spark plug seals and the clutch bolts.

The only thing i'm looking for are the Cam Pulley Bolts.

I was wondering if anyone has a part number or if they know what kind of bolts they are? Service box wasn't too helpful and the guy at the dealers was struggeling too.

Hope you can help

Thanks

I think, cam pulley bolts: 6923 E6 and the rings: 0812 09.

Pls double check :)

I can dig you out of a hole if you need the cam pulley bolts urgently.

Do you need woodruff keys too?

Hey guys

So far so good have got the clutch bolts and the pulley bolts (thanks Rich)

But I'm having massive trouble trying to source the spark plug seals for the rocker cover. Service box says they are out and at the moment I'm ringing around Peugeot dealers asking to see if they have any in their own stock so far nothing. Does anyone have any going or know of where I might be able to get them?

Hope you can help guys

Thanks

0258.35 are the rocker cover bolt seals which are still available. What smokey needs is the spark plug seals 0213.06 which are very much unavailable, to every Mi16 owners dismay! Sadly, i cannot be anymore help than to say if the engine hasnt been sitting for a while then the spark plug seals are often still in good nick....so check them out if you havent already.

Ah Henry you got me excited there lol.

Does anyone know of any other solutions?

This is the only thing left to do before the engine goes into the car!!

Thanks
