Lightboard Wiring

Recommended Posts

Any of you knowledgeable chaps give me a pointer for wiring up a plug for my towboard lights? Basically I've got the plug to go with the towball and just need to wire that into the lights on the back of the Pug, now being the retard I am when it comes to electrics I'm not sure what wires do what and can't read a wiring diagram to save my life.

So, question is, can someone tell what colour wires do what so I don't end up with blinking brake lights and all that shizzle. I had a search but apparently my searching capabilities are just as lacking as my electrical abilities....

Ta muchly.

mickie

get a circuit tester, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165469

clamp one side to earth, the other to 1 of the wires, which ever one you're looking for, side lights for example, once the tester lights up you'll know what colour wire that is..

then indicators, left/right and brake light, get someone/something to help push down the pedal

Cheers Mickie, I think my brother might have one of them so I'll look at giving that a go. Not quite what I was after Tom, but cheers all the same.
