Vts Engine Ticking On Acceleration

been very happy with the 205 at the mo,its running pretty sweet.

 

i even let the wife drive it the other day and she came in shaking saying it was far too quick for her and she couldnt stop it wheelspinning

 

problem is i am starting to get used to the rattles again and have started noticing that the engine it tapping/ticking under throttle. its as quiet as a mouse on idle though which is making me think it is a problem with the spark. maybe too advanced?

 

unless this is a normal condition with the vts xu10 engine?.as it may seem worse that it is seeing as i have no soundproofing in the car and can hear every little noise from the bay.

Im not certain but it could be your manifold bolts or gasket, have these been replaced at some point ?

The inlet has been off alot recently so i will check that. The exhaust hasnt though, but i will double check they are all still tight
