hi there any help would be grate befor i tourch this motherbitch of a car

Problem one THE MAIN ONE

After a long dive i get this very intense smell of burning oil and know i know why. The bastad crank case keeps pressurising and blowing the dipstick out half inch and then followed by not a huge but engough oil which fills up the fins in the crank case below and wohay oil smell. now i have removed and cleaned all oil breathe pipes and cleaned and replaced i have removed the dipstick and can feel heavy "chuffing" on idle but when revved it goes away so i dnt think its piston rings. I have removed the oil filler cap and felt the top of the dip stick tube still "chuffing" any idears

 

 

 

Problem two

Water pipe coming from head into the two carbs and then back into the pipe just befor the water pump. Do i actually need this water line or can i blank it off

if not has anybody got this water pipe with the bleed valve init that has spung a leak on mine

 

BTW the car is a 1987 205 xs with the xy8 engine in 1360cc please help

so long as all the breathers are clear including the small bore stuff by manifolds i would say the problem is related to internal problems.

 

i know it may sound stupid but when i worked at vauxhall the engines in very early nova's suffered similar problems with crankcase pressure and also oil burning sometimes normally caused by glazed bores we used to stick some VIM powder down plug holes.Vim is basically an abrasive cleaning powder that would deglaze bores but is not abrasive enough to cause any damage.

do a compression test first to make sure all pots are correct then give vim a go.
