Engine Identification

First proper post so hello to all.

 

I have recently purchased a G plate 1.6 gti in need of some serious TLC,the previous owner said it had a 1.9 engine fitted i was a little unsure at first and thought it was still the 1.6 but now i think it may be the 1.9 after all can anyone confirm for me?

 

yellow injectors,spacer between sump and block but no oil cooler the filter is straight to block,there is a code on plate by timing cover D6B.

 

Also if it turns out to be a 1.9 should the ECU have been swapped at same time and is there any way to tell what ECU is fitted?

try a search mate all will be revealed.

 

all points do point to a 1.9 though. and pretty sure d6 is a 1.9 engine

it is a 1.9 engine code google peugeot d6b and it comes up also there should be a number on the ecu normally on a black sticker iirc post it and sure we can find out for you
