Rear Fog Light

Been trying to get my rear fog light working today but no joy it wasn't even connected i found the connector under rear of car connected up went to push fog button but not lighting up, is the button supposed to stay pushed in? as mine doesn't will pop back out won't stay down.

 

I gather there is a fuse for rear fog anyone tell me where this is?

The switch should stay pushed in on the 205, hold the switch in and get someone to look at the fog light to see if its lit up, this will give you an idea if its a faulty switch or not. Later Peugeots like the 106 and 306 had switches that didn't stay in afaik maybe someone has fitted the wrong type of switch to your 205 in the past.

Mine wasnt working correctly so I just put a new live to it, operated via a toggle switch. needless to say I'm sure you could do this and then hide the switch out of the way to stop the car looking 'played with' and then as long as you know where it is you'll be ok, after all, how often is it that you need to use the fog lights over here? 20? tops?

switch must have a telltale on it or have a warning light on the dash for MOT purposes.

Note that it shouldn't come on without the lights on, side lights I think but possibly dipped headlights.
