Worth Changing To A Gti Subframe From A Tu One?

wouldn't of thought there was anything to gain plus the gear linkage mount is in a different position so might not be able to use it unless changing gear rods

uncle is a welder so thats not a prob i just thought getting wishbones would be better than the tca's

Hi, you will need the subframe and wishbones (obviously). You will also want the anti-roll bar and mounting bushes / brackets. The anti-roll bar connects to the struts with "drop links" so may well want GTI struts in order to have to mount points already on them.

I believe you may also need a little work with the brake pipes so they don't rub on anything, the GTI has them routed slightly differently with the bracket on the car at a different angle.

i read the question slightly wrong!! sorry. You'll need;

GTi subframe, and relocate the gear linkage

wishbones

GTi arb

droplinks

and GTi shocks

 

i drove around without the shocks for a little while, and therefore without the arb attached and it was awful!!
