Oil Supply Problems

Recommended Posts

wracing

Having stripped most of the external items off my 205, I'm having a problem with the oil feed to the turbos.

The engine is getting oil at a good pressure, but the turbo's are dry, i'm currently drawing the oil off the main oil gallery at the front of the engine, where the oil pressure switch normally fits on a S16.

Is it possible for journal bearing turbos to become air locked?

This is only a problem that has occurred since I stripped her apart.

Any ideas I'm stumped

Thanks

James

Spiky

remove the feed off the turbo and give a quick flick of the key with the HT leads off and see of oil pumps out the pipe

Turns out that they can get air locked, and are now bled up and have a nice strong oil feed!! :)

Thanks
