Alternator Mount

just fitted a new alternator and the mounting onto the engine has sheered, there was an older stress fracture on the part and it gave way

Firstly, what engine and car combination is it for? I have had a quick check and the alternator brackets are still available from the maindealers, different part number and price depending on whether or not you have power steering.

 

Non PAS alternator bracket - 5706.60 £36.25+vat

PAS alternator bracket - 5706.84 £53.63+vat

 

Although, that is only assuming its a standard 205 gti engine.

yeh thanks

ive just been down the local dealer, who want £42 for it :S

its a 1.9gti 8v so yeh will ask to order the part tonight i think,
