burr_2000 1 Posted July 27, 2010 when i save up pennies again i am looking for adjustable arms. has anyone had any dealings with the following company and there arms as seems the best price but i am only using it for track and not rallys. http://www.compbrake.co.uk/shop/product_in...bb4509313a20bc9
tri_longer 25 Posted July 27, 2010 If you do a search on compbrake you should find a few threads regarding these wishbones as there has been a group buy in the past.
SurGie 54 Posted July 27, 2010 They look like the price has dropped from £300 odd, please correct me if im wrong.
burr_2000 1 Posted July 27, 2010 i found good news and bad news about them, good news is they will be even cheaper because of a 10% discount but bad news is some people struggle to get more than 1.5 camber. i hope they have sorted the faults?
205Rallee 59 Posted July 27, 2010 I considered these and then read the various threads on here. I've just fitted BBM's top mounts not cheap but really well made and seem to provide plenty of camber/caster adjustment.

Spiky 37 Posted July 27, 2010 i had them, didnt fit ( even after i was assured they would) sent them back i have made my own now and after 3 track days and many miles on the roadm, mine have be fine
SurGie 54 Posted July 27, 2010 Do you mean the wishbones, on that site they say something about having to make them better.
Baz 421 Posted July 27, 2010 Funnily enough i was looking at these last night as i have a similar set running with no ARB, but considering them for a lesser-suspended acr that would need the ARB. I was going to post a similar thread, also asking if anyone's managed to get them to fit with the standard ARB, but after some searching found it seems that few have, TT205 etc, but the general consensus was not, and that they're not an amazing design anyway! Spiky 37 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) what is weird, is that they DO fit some cars, so can only assume some 205's have a different ARB and i mean a couple on MM difference Sounds of silences bought 2 sets, fitted one car but not the other. burr_2000 1 Posted July 28, 2010 im thinking maybe the compobrake ones are too much a change to the original wishbone design and might not be allowed in the road going rules. I was thinking someone must be able to do the following design on standard bones for less, cause at the moment i think these might be the only type i can get https://secure.surfinteractive.co.uk/cgi-bi...tr=HOME:peugeot
burr_2000 1 Posted July 28, 2010 thats what im talking about, spiky surely with decent welds yours is as fit for purpose as the one in my recent post and a fraction of cost.
Spiky 37 Posted July 28, 2010 mine werent that cheap here is a price list (if my memory is right) wishbone free...lol new pug inner bushes £22 the inserts made up £40 a pair i think RJ £12 each welding both inserts £30? my mate machining the wishbone = free total for 2 wishbones was £
welshpug 1,645 Posted July 28, 2010 pretty damn cheap compared to what you see on ebay! though you haven't included the cost of the pin, spacers and nut that go in the hub+RJ
Spiky 37 Posted July 28, 2010 good point, as i didnt give them back to Compbrake i can buy them from my local nut and bolt shop for a few quid each and my mate can machine them, as we did one to test so add £10 the spacers, can "probably" be bought from a few places
Rippthrough 98 Posted July 28, 2010 yours is as fit for purpose as the one in my recent post and a fraction of cost. As good as the compbrake ones anyway. surely with decent welds Even the best weld will weaken the parent material, you just have to hope that Peugeot put enough strength in there for you to get away with it. I've said before about the rose joints loaded that way, but again, no worse than the ones this topic was discussing.
