Gti Injectors

Quick question as I'm not a mechanic and I'm afraid of damaging anything but how do you remove the yellow injectors from the inlet manifold as I need to switch them over onto the replacement manifold Baz has sent me?

Unbolt the fuel rail and pull. If they seem mega tight (and they probably will be) unbolt the fuel rail, slide off the metal clips that hold each injector to the fuel rail, remove fuel rail with injectors still stuck in the inlet fanny mold. Now use a 19mm (iirc) open ended spanner and some WD40 to leaver them out.

 

Prepare for the injectors pintle caps to get left behind.
