Recommended Posts

Hey,

First of all, sorry for my bad English! :ph34r:

But i have a little question;

What for adjustments should be done, to fit a BE3-6 box in to a 205 gti? Its for my trackday car. So the big turning circle is know. :)

Cheers,

Thijs-Jan

You should find plenty of details if you do a search, but basically, you need to swap the gear selector arm for a 205/309 BE3 one, swap the clutch arm and fork for a BE3 push-type one (to use current clutch and release bearing), swap the speedo drive over (if from a Phase 2/3 GTi-6), and ideally fit a 205/309 lift-up reverse lever and cable (if your car is currently BE3).

If you're running the original diff rather than a Quaife, Tran-X etc, you'll probably need to either swap the diff for a 205/309 BE3 one, or swap the short-side driveshaft inner CV cup/spline for a 306/Xsara type one.

Why do you need to the short-side driveshaft inner CV cup/spline for a 306/Xsara type one?
