Can anyone tell me if the inlet cam from a S16 will fit a Mi16 head with a dizzy ?

Care to expand please Miles, I've a S16 cam I was hoping to fit to a 1.9 Mi16 head, it is on bodies so no need for anything driven from the end of either cam.

For that purpose it will work fine - the S16 cam doesn't have the slot and thread in the end to fit the Mi rotor arm drive, that's all.

Thanks, that is what I thought.

I think you'd need to block the oil feed in the end of the cam and remove the cam position tang off the end if used with a 1.9 head and thermostat housing.

That depends on which version it is. If the cam was from a car with a vacuum pump (S16) then yes, it needs to be drilled, tapped and bunged. If the cam was from non-vacuum pump car (2L Mi16) then it will not need to be blocked off.

The S16 (and 2L Mi16) cams and 1.9 Mi16 cams are otherwise identical in terms of lift and duration. And as Anthony said, there is no dizzy slot.

Miles

All UK versions have the oil drain hole regardless so needs to be blocked off,
