Relays....

Recommended Posts

Have a look at my pitcure please.

Can you please tell me what each of these plugs and relays are for and what all of the plugs do?

I am having a few electrical issues and I am trying to solve some various issues (french wires rule)

Thanks

Also, if you look to the left of the picture, there is a white wire that has been cut and looped and tied up with insulting tape. Any idea what this is of why it could have been clipped?

Thanks, ORB

If it's got A/C you should have 2 fan relays for a start, can only see one unless it's the picture, Also normally you'll have a purple relay for the A/C again

Thats the twin fan control box. I can see by that pic you have A/C fitted so there should be 4 relays. Not sure about the wire loop thats been added, maybe for bypassing the A/C pressure switch to get the A/C working.

No, just for controlling the rad fans. The horn relay is in a small black plastic box next to the front strut top (passengers side).

Thanks for that. No relay clicking on pressing the horn stalk...

Bloody thing.

Hmm, I now have a relay clicking in the engine bay when I press the horn, after sorting out some dodgy alarm wiring under the steering cover.

Now, I must trace the relay back to try to find the fault. Bloody thing.
