I was just wondering, if some one is looking into buying a limited edition or a collectors rear edition of a 205 GTI or non GTI, which model should thay be looking for?

Any miami or sorrento bought from ebay will be a limited edition, even more so if they have red or green carpets, half leather and on a j plate. :D

If i had the money, space and will not to drive it. ever. i'd have a 1fm.

STDT :) I think this must be the model with the least production numbers of all the models and variants of 205.

After looking around, id say the 1FM and then the Gentry.

Definately a 1FM. A non-sunroof 1.9 Topaz or a Gentry. Better still, one of the cancelled Jap market Auto 'GTI's' that came with A/C and 1.6 wheels etc.

In a way yes but I think it has the 'proper' gti engine rather than the lacklustre gentry engine

Isn't the 205 1FM the only proper "limited edition" ?

All the other ones mentioned were just short production runs of high spec (or low spec, or just different) models.

The 1990 Miami and Sorrento 205s were proper limited editions.

Really, what varies them to the later ones bar the number plate?

Factory black carpet and full grey leather isn't it?

Grey carpet, full grey leather and PAS as standard. Also, the later ones were phase two whereas the limited editions were phase 1.5. The main thing is the numbers were actually limited, 1200 in total, 300 of each type.

Blimey - I've seen a fair few. Admittedly it was in France during the time of their production run! They were a popular car along with the same engined AX Sport.
