Image rims need sealing the same as any split rim. My Dimma Compomotives are the same.

Yes, but you don't need to fit innertubes that will, if not fitted to the correct tyre, rub on the inner sidewalls of the tyre.

If you went for the correct tyre/innertube combination it would severly limit what tyres you can safely fit.

I see what you mean about the innertubes, what Tom is saying though is if you don't want to use a sealant then you would need to use tubes.

My point was to say that as you have to use selant on other currently available split rims then it's not different, as such I wouldn't expect anyone to want to run innertubes anyway.

As others have said, you have the choice of tubeless valves and sealing the rims, or using tubes if you prefer. The choice is entirely yours. The rims need sealing if used tubeless just like any other split rim wheel.

to be honest 100 quid is pretty good realy, best part of 50 quid a wheel for a normal referb.

think there could be potential if there could be an inner dish aswel? dimma etc with botls going right through?

Seems a lot of hysteria over nothing. the end product is exactly as any other split rim?

.....except being a lot cheaper!

To be honest the response in general was exactly as I expected.

Hi Joe, yes I understood what you are suggesting, it is something we will look into for the future.

Very very sexy looking these, now have become the best 15" standardish wheel to have on a 205

Just that most people want something for nothing, despite the hours of work that go into making these. In any case there will be a set on my car very soon, I am half way through prepping the centres and hopefully they will be in paint this weekend.

Absolutely stunning! and compared to the price of aftermarket naff alloys, a bloody bargain to boot.

Tom, could you/Carl price me some a set or two of just the spun rims up in 15X7J and 16x7J, I've been looking for some off the shelf for ages and no bugger does them any more.

very nice ;)

i wish i am living in england

I had missed this until now, not in England is no problem, Carl sells his 3 piece wheels all over the world, and I see no difference (apart from slightly more cost to ship) in sending a set of these anywhere.

What I would suggest if you wanted some when they are ready for production, is to buy a set of wheels from UK ebay or someone on here, and then have them sent straight to Carl for conversion.

They look absolutely brilliant Tom, great work.

When I get my car completely finished I am going to treat myself to a set. Will have to arrange to pop down and see a set in the metal beforehand though if that's cool? I will have my pepperpots done if you can do them and if not, then a set of 1.9 wheels will have to be sourced from Baz's wheelery

They sound like good value to me too. Considering a refurb is £30-50 per wheel, and a new two piece wheel is anything like a decent style is way over a hundred quid.

No problem, I'm hoping they will be on my car within the next week or so.

Pepperpots are feasible as Carl has machined one to see if it can be done. However at the moment he has no tooling to make 14" rims as they just aren't such a popular size.

Goodwood style anyone?

Please excuse the poor paint finish- it is just an odd wheel done for demo purposes. I now can't decide whether to do my own set silver or like this.

I'm not totally convinced by that one. I just can't quite put my finger on it, but it just doesn't look instantly "wow" like the first set. I think maybe it's a bit fussy looking, if that makes any sense, whereas the first set just looked clean.

I think I agree TBH, but I know the Goodwood wheels are popular, and as we had this one odd wheel (this was the SMR that was machined to see if it was possible) we decided to do one in Graphite as a demo.

Mine will be going silver, should be done over the next week or so. I'm looking forward to seeing what they look like.

I think they look fantastic, and also very reasonably priced!

When they're available i'll certainly be very interested, and have a few rims ready! :D
