Quick Coolant Hose Question

Hi,

Got a hole in the coolant pipe that runs from the bulkhead (and therefore the heater matrix I assume?) to the distributor side of the engine. Can I just buy off the shelf hose to fit this or does it have to be a moulded piece, if so where is best to get it from?

GSF or main stealer do them as i bought some not long ago

Or you can buy singular hoses from BBM but it'll be more expensive I would imagine that a normal hose from GSF or main dealer. I'm sure Meirion said the main dealer prices werent that bad.

Get don't do them apparently and been around nearly every motor factors in swansea to no avail. One more to try then baker it is. Dealer says nfp too.

NFP at the dealer, no motorfactors in Swansea stock them. I'm getting some decent hose repair tape and patching it up. It appears to have degraded at that join which would be closest to the exhaust manifold suggesting the heat caused it.

There's an early 205 being broken near me. Do you want me to have a look for this hose for you? I'm going for myself tomorrow anyway.

 

Can't guarantee what condition its in, or how much they want for it, or if it will fit a later model? But I'll have a butchers if you're stuck.

Thank you very much for the offer, I'll tape this one up for now as I need the car wednesday and I'll get a new hose from bakerbm at some point. If I get another old hose I'm back to square one where it could go again. Very kind of you to offer though.

I bought one from dealer about 3 year ago for £27, must of been one of the last ones! Keeping it as spare now as I have a full BBM kit, but if your stuck give me a shout.
