Mi16 Conversion Angled Manifold Plate

Recommended Posts

Junosix

Just about to get ready for an Mi16 conversion in the 205. I've managed to answer all the other questions I had (so far!) by searching, but there's one I can't find an answer for...

I'll need a reangling plate for the exhaust manifold, and searching the forum brings up lots of suggestions for QEP - only problem is I rang them up and they don't do them any more unless there's a definite order for several. Any ideas where else I can get one, or get one made up?

Cool, thanks for that, I'll drop him a PM. I've also found out they're called reangling wedges - armed with that information, I shall have another search.

PeterT Does still do them. I just bought one. The engine is in and will run for the first time this weekend. Here is some pics.

Some other things you will also need that no one speaks of. Mi16 Accelerator cable, power stearing hose (just the short one), and you need to separate the gauge loom from the main loom to keep the gauges working. This has been a project over three weeks. If you have a freind help it will be quicker

Never done them and never will, Don;t like the idea at all myself + don;t forget you need to sort the Downpipe 2 or like a car I;ve got at the moment, Ground clearance is about 2"'s

Sounds like the ground clearance when a v6 is dropped in. Have you a solution to that with your 309 v6?

The wedge thing is better as the manifolds tend to crack which if they do your up the swanny again

The V6 was easy, Custom 2 3/4" system from the D/P flange tucked away nicely

Excellent solution Miles, the sump grounding out is the only problem left then :)

I am on my second sump in six months :P

I can assure you that he does not come on here at all any more.

Sounds ominous. Any particular reason?
