Anybody From The Isle Of Man ?

I'm thinking of planning a trip over to the Isle of Man for next Easter time for a blast around the country roads. Are there any locals on here who could give me any information ? Where to drive, routes, sights to see etc, where to stay and eat/drink etc.

 

I live in Morecambe so could get a ferry from Heysham or maybe Liverpool, and would be going for probably 2/3 nights.

Take a walk up to the tower at Port Erin, nice place. It's been a while since i was there and all i really did when i was there was arse around on a skateboard down the hills in Port Erin.

 

The TT museum is pretty good as well so thats worth a look. All the roads around the mountains are good and theres a place called the Fairy Bridge, i remember the road with that bridge on being pretty good.

 

I was thinking about the place the other day and i remember the first time i went there (i was about 7 or 8 at the time) my Aunt had a 205 1.9 GTI and i only just remembered her picking me up from the airport in Douglas in it and blasting back to Port Erin Must be one of the reasons i ended up with a 205

I spent a week there a few years ago predominately for mountain biking but also thrashing a Toyota Previa around!

It doesn't take long to get around from end to end - watch out for motorcyclists 'practising' on Sundays.
