Cylinder Head Setup?

Recommended Posts

Carbs4me

Hello all,

Ive just started to rebuid my cyclinder head, i have it all stripped down and ready to be rebuilt.. i was wondering what mofications would suit a carb setup (which i am also rebuilding) the carbs are DHLA 40's, im gunna keep the bottom end standard for now, as i have another block which im going to rebuild with awhole load of forged pistons, kinfe edge crank, and 2.1 bores etc...

Obvisous modifications:

Kent rally ram

Vernier pully

Port and Polish

Currently the modifications are Over sized values (unsure of the size but can get these if requested) with these on i was only getting power from 2000RPM to 5500RPM, im looking for a setup from 3000-7500

Just wondering if any1 can give me a good setup for the cyclinder head as ive never rebuilt a cyclinder head before... i want to replace all the componets, with performance one's... the cyclinder head has only done 6k miles since it was last rebuilt..

Cheers

To get the best from the other planned mods it would be a better idea to raise the compression, otherwise it's all a little in vain.
