Reverse Light Switch Removal/replace (be3)...any Special Procedures?

Hi All,

Just needing to replace the reverse light switch on the 205 GTi (BE3)...any special considerations apart from removal of all of the bits in the way...and of course 'refitting is reverse of removal'!!! Cheers.

It's as simple as it looks. Faults are usually in the wiring though, especially the lamp housing and housing terminals, so if you haven't tried bridging the switch to see if it's at fault, I would.

Cheers...thanks for the quick reply. The mechanic has tested everything and narrowed it down to the switch, so I've gone ahead and ordered it. It's for a WOF (MOT) and I was just trying to save a few dollars by doing it myself.
