Car Feels Mint Again

after having my car run and handle like crap for months now,and struggling to get any sort of performance out of it on track at rockingham,i decided its now time to sort it out

 

a long road trip over to wales after been tipped of by jimistdt,i went over and met andy aka jord,and his lovely 309 gti,got my self a nice new 309 rear beam,and what a job he had done of building the beam,and a top guy aswell

 

got it on the car and took it for a blast down some twisty back roads and he handled brilliant and its so predictable again now and does exactly what i want it to

 

just thought id share my joy

 

just got to get the new engine in asap now as its leaking oil like a damn siv!!!!!

i'm sure the 24mm a.r.b you also had will make a difference

 

would be interesting to know how the beam you have compares to a std 309 gti beam

 

have you got pics of how the car sits please?

ill take some soon,it sits just how i want though,its on 15 inch nimrods with over sized tyres so that might make it look different,some times i put speedlines on but not often as im trying to kill tyres of on nimrods

Nice one Ben, that's what the forums all about - getting together and helping each other out, however they can.

 

Notice you're raring to go on the meet side of things again, we will have to get it sorted sooner rather than later.
