4 Bar Fuel Pressure Reg

Anyone any thoughts on these? Spotted it the other day

quite rare you need 4 bar of fuel pressure, but handy if you need it.

 

they're an off the shelf part from a VW golf VR6 as it happens.

If you're thinking 205 I wouldn't bother.

 

My 2.2 when you went in it was only on a 2.6 bar bike FPR. Even now at ~240bhp it's only on a standard 3 bar GTI6 FPR. Don't see the point really.

Anyone who looks at one of these surely must be thinking 'more is better...isn't it'?

I was thinking more along the lines of why did VW use a 4 bar reg and smaller injectors, where Peugeot use 3 bar and larger injectors?

Not really Rich, spotted it and wondered peoples thoughts and opinions on it! Its listed for 8v GTi and mines 2.0 turbo so wasnt like I was looking at it as an application for my car. Just wondered what, if any, positive and negatives it might give!
