Identifying Brakes

Recommended Posts

dave_gti

Yet another task to get the 205 back on the road is to replace discs and pads, can anyone confirm which brakes are fitted, I believe they are from a 306 GTI-6, I just wondered if any of you guys can identify them before I order.

I also need 309 GTI rear discs and pads, any suggestions which would be best for fast road/track use.

certainly look like gti6, check the size of the discs and the diameter of the piston that is cast into the top of the calliper between the fins.

Should have "57" cast on it near the fins at the back if it's GTi-6 (refering to the piston size)

I *think* I can see it on the first photo

(btw, those photo sizes are just a little on the large size! Try and resize them to 800x600 or less)

Thanks for that, just had the wheel off and it does have 57 between the fins :).

Time to get ordering.
