Petrol Pump In A Diesel Tank ?

im presently converting my stdt to petrol and im wondering if i can reuse the tank, the pick up in the diesel tank has a screw in insert that clamps it down, i think there are a couple of different pump types, the hole itself is 50mm and outer flange dia is 73mm, any info will be great as i know it would be all too easy just to drop in a petrol pump.

Im also doing this but there completely different, far easier just to get a gti tank and pump which is what i've done.

cheers, it was when i pulled the pick up out i got the light bulb thingemy

 

dose anyone in the north east have a tank n pump for sale ?

I've got a tank, I'm not sure if it still has the pump in, been a long time since I saw it!!

 

I'll dig it out tomorrow and see if it's complete.
