Does Anyone Know Where To Buy A New Windscreen Seal?

Recommended Posts

cRaig

Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone knows where to buy a new windscreen seal, as last time I checked it was no longer available from peugeot. And possibly a new windscreen as well, as the one I have is starting to delaminate in one of the corners, and I guess theres no point putting it back in if its got to come out again at some point!

Cheers

Craig

Well, Ideally Id like a sunroof model seal, as I believe the extra lump at the top is to defect air above the sunroof. Has anyone fitted a non sunny seal and noticed much of a difference?

I have a non sunny one - I also have a defolector, so no difference. Would recommend the deflector.

Ah, an excellent point. I do have a sunroof deflector lying around somewhere in the loft I always meant to fit. I guess that would do the job ;) So non sunny seals are still available from pug?

Apparently you get alot of wind noise if you fit a non-sunny seal to a car with a sunroof

And if your sunroof trim is not fitted spot on it can get blown off with a spirited drive ;)

Just been to peugeot and I object to their prices for both the windscreen and the seal, anyone got any ideas of any reliable but slightly more affordable suppliers? autoglass etc any good?

I did not think a dealer was particularly expensive for a windscreen having head what you'd be charged elsewhere for a non-o.e one.

Once you've finished the rebuild get a new screen on the insurance?

Got to be cheaper than sourceing it all yourself
