Rock Lobster 28 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi all, Can any one tell me what the difference is between a gti rear wing/panel and a standard non gti item? I know they have different part numbers but can't see what the difference is apart from the trim holes? I have rust at the base of my drivers side wing and need a donor panel to chop the bottom off a weld to mine! So most of it I won't need if that makes any sense?! Cheers! Daviewonder 533 3 Cars Posted July 5, 2010 The rear wheel arches on the gti are cut out higher up to allow lower stance and larger wheels, non gti would rub afaik.

welshpug 1,646 Posted July 5, 2010 although the above is quite correct, I'm not certain if the section below the trim line is actually the same profile on both, I think they are, so you could use that section from a non-gti and hide the join under the bottom of the 1/4 panel trim.
