Custom Front Windscreens

Recommended Posts

I have a really silly idea for my racecar that i'd like to pursue. Does anyone know if you can cut a standard windscreen to be smaller or get a custom one made up?

not thinking of a 205 roof chop are you?

I'd ask Hilgie, as his pugster project is having a shortened screen but I don't know how far he has got with it.

Believe it or not, a laminated screen can be cut down pretty well with an angle grinder.

Windscreen is not in yet. But my idea was to make a cardboard template and have the glass cut out with a waterjet. For a windscreen rubber I have opted for a 309 one which is wider at the top, so it can be used in the 205 at the wider portion of the windscreen without needing to insert rubber pieces.
