can you hire car transporters (not trailers) for self drive?

 

and does anyone know of a place that does in the wolverhampton / telford / shrewsbury area if possible

Yes you can, costs around £80 in the London area. Not sure of anywhere in the areas mentioned but I'm sure a search on Google or Yell.com would bring up some contenders. Also, I'm not entirely sure if that price includes insurance or if you need to take out your own. When I rented a trailer from the same place I had to provide proof of insurance and other documents.
