Been stamping my feet and emailing the insurance a lot consisting mainly of a long rant reference the engineers report and they have now turned round and said they will completely fix the rallye! Proof if you annoy insurance companies for long enough they will sort their lives out!

Though you should know!

Get in! well done!

I'll eat my hat if they don't write it off.

Would Sir like mustard with that? ;):(

Glad it's getting fixed, too much of a nice car to become bean cans!

Just thought I would bring some closure to this thread! Got my car back today after it being at car struck in Yeovil for 3 weeks, I'm amazed and can't tell you how much I enjoyed the drive home after driving a chevy matiz for 3 weeks!

All new boot floor, boot, bumper, valance and bumper fixing kit, really is a top job.

Top notch, courtesy car, great customer service, but what matters is the work and I really can't fault it its better than it was before! I put 1000 miles on the courtesy car that only had 2500 to start and gave it back dirty and they didn't care!

I believe the engineers report said it would be about £1600 give or take a bit. It really is a perfect job though. A added bonus is that they have replaced all the parts with genuine pug parts and I now have a later tailgate with the 3rd brake light mount so that might have to be done when it under goes its rebuild starting next week.

Do you mind me asking, did you ask to have the car repaired at Car Struck or was it the insurer's choice? Our pug was in the UK for all of 6 hours a couple of months ago & a builder's van hit it up the ass at a roundabout, damage similar to yours. It's driveable and back in Holland but the garage here is saying the insurance will probably write it off & only pay out 300 euros :)

It recently had the engine rebuilt for 2000 euros and had only been run in 2 weeks prior to the accident, it wasn't mint (a few small dings in the bodywork) but there's no rust on it & it was a very clean car. Pretty p*ssed off about the whole thing and was thinking about driving the car back over to the UK to get a UK garage to give us a quote.

It was the insurances choice, good body shop. Like I said the engineers report was about £1600 so expect to pay about that, it also took 2-3weeks. Hope that helps.
