i have just purchased my first 205 gti its a 1988 1.6 its grey 107,000 miles elec windows sunroof,central locking i would put some pics up but dont know how lol

i have got better pics but theres just a fe i brought it for £300 i thought was a good buy its got a 1.9 gti rear axle(discs) and 1.9 wheels other than thha its standard tell me what you think

Looks like a good buy for £300. Pretty tidy, standard condition. Shame some arsehole had to ruin the roof with that 2nd aerial at the back (I've got the same problem on mine).

Errr, where do we start? Spend a lot (I mean a lot) of time reading the forum and you'll get an idea of the dos (do's? ) and don'ts, the common problems, the best modifications etc. I suppose the best place to start would be making sure all the suspension componentry is tip top and that none of the bushes are worn. If the suspension is s*ite then it robs the entire car of what makes it great, and nothing else you do to it in the meantime is going to make it a nicer car to own. Other than that, considering the way values are going I'd say keep it clean and standard rather than being tempted to modify it.
