Missing Fly Wheel Dowels ?

im just building my mi16 eng and the fly wheel only has two dowels in, so i thought i'll get one out of a scrap eng thats in the shed, but when ive dug it out that ony has two in and their wasn't one in the old presure plate, so i only presume it should have three or is it just me ?
