Honing The Bores

hi all, i have slight surface rust on cylinder 1 of my mi16 engine after stipping it down, i now want to get it fit and healthy on the road to sell for a bike , the rust isnt deep and doesnt seem to have attacted the liners. my question is what is the best way to hoan the bores is it a straight forward job and can it be done by hand? regards simon

If its just surface rust try a scouring pad, should come up well.
