Xu9j4 Head In Xu10j4rs

I've seen a post a long time ago about a guy in california with a iron block with a mi16 head, can anybody confirm if its possible to fit a xu9j4 head in a xu10j4rs engine block, a friend of mine has only the block with pistons for a compression ratio of 12:1 and i want to buy it (i have a spare mi16 head).

yes it will fit fine, you will get a slightly lower compression than 12-1 if the pistons are intended for a XU10J4RS head as the Mi16 chamber is larger by about 4cc.
