Mi16 Electrical Problem

Really need some help, car been running fine and now its all gone tits up!

 

Seems that two of the cylinders are getting a really weak spark. Revs are rising and droping all over the place on idle then engine cuts out. All seems to get worse and worse as it gets hotter to the point where it wont start!?

 

Is this a coomon fault for a certain electronic component? Any sugestions much appreciated.

Ignition amp would be my first point of call then dizzy cap and rota arm, coil and leads

Does the rev counter do a dance?

Yeah rev counter deffinatley does a dance! Ignition amp was one of the things I was thinking, all other components you mentioned are new. Want to try narrow it down as much as possible so I dont waste money on parts that are fine.

 

Any idea how to test the Amplifier?

Not really. Just swap it over for a known working one.
