Pre - '88 Cherry Red Owners!

Recommended Posts

denva2682

Could someone that has a pre - '88 CTI or GTI please be so kind as to have a butchers under their bonnet and let me know the paint code?

Codes so far for possible period Peugeot reds that I know of are EKB, POKB and P3KB - which I'm sure was 92 onwards?

I also know that a different shade was used from '88 onwards. So what is the right code!? Its not just for getting paint for the car, but I am also getting some repro decals made for the usual place, because mine has been resprayed at some stage.

Any help most gratefully received!

Did you not read what everyone said in the previous thread?

Even more so if your car has been resprayed, the paint code really is worthless to you. Even more so on a red car as they are bad for the pigment fading in UV rays over time.

To get anything approaching a decent colour match, get it to a paint factor, and have them mix it to your car.

Yes i did Tom, but like I said in my original post above, I'd like the code now also as I am restoring the car and want the code to have some decals made to replace the ones missing from mine.
